![]() The ones who are mostly complaining tend to skew towards the former, mainly because this is probably their first experience of a preventable but debilitating two-card combination. (Obviously there are people who are somewhere in the middle.) On one hand, you have players new to the game (or just play it casually), and on the other end of the spectrum, you have competitive players who know the game inside and out, and perhaps are even playing Magic professionally. ![]() This is an oversimplification, but in general, there are two extremes of Magic Arena players. ![]() Allow me to explain, including how to deal with this combination. While there's a vocal segment of this subreddit asking the combo to be banned, it's not likely going to happen-although deadlocks of two opponents playing Book of Exalted Deeds and not getting a tie is a shortcoming of the game engine (and hopefully gets fixed). One of the popular combos currently in Standard 2022 (which only includes the latest 4 expansions) is The Book of Exalted Deeds paired with Faceless Haven (TBoED/FH), and it's leaving a lot of new players salty.
